Diary

Here we go my racing schedule is online: http://www.sauserwind.com/race.asp

As you can read in my press release below, I have not decided if I am going to race a whole xco season or not. So after the Marathon World Championships my schedule is still “in the air”. Anyway, I am looking forward to both options, eater Cross Country or Marathon, it will be a luxury decision!

Switzerland’s Christoph Sauser will be riding for Specialized again in 2011. This will be his sixth year with the Specialized brand.
According to Sauser he is very happy to ride in red for another season, especially since it is going to be a big year for Sauser.
In the coming months Sauser needs to make some big decisions regarding his future and how he is going to spend the final years of his career as a professional mountain biker.
“First up for me is the Cape Epic. Then follows the first three World Cups – Pietermaritzburg, Dalby Forest and Offenburg. Then comes decision time. I’m either going to race marathons or focus for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Marathons would add a lot to my racing career. I always really enjoyed to mix up my xco racing with some classic long distance events!“

Sauser will compete the Cape-Epic with Specialized team-mate Burry Stander for the
fourth consecutive year in the foremost multi day mountain bike stage race in the world, the Cape Epic. „It is one of the biggest highlights of the year, especially we are racing in the songo.info colors again, the charity I started 4 years ago, which is supported by Specialized too.“

According to Sauser he sees himself riding professionally for another
two seasons before he calls it the day.
